Unua Monata Lernas Esperanto!

Saluton!

Ĝis estas markon unua monata lernas esperanton. Mi estas lerni esperanto pro scivolemo, Mi aŭdis tio esperanto estas la plej facila ligvo lerni.

So, basically that's what I could say in Esperanto. TBH it is still hard for me to form perfect sentences without help of google translate and lernu's vortaro. So, at this point some of people who read this probably never heard of what is Esperanto. I bet some people thought that Esperanto is some sort of Spanish, but if you have seen what I have written, it is definitely not Spanish, nor in any way was related to Spanish.

Esperanto is a constructed international auxiliary language created by L. L. Zamenhof, a Polish-Jewish linguistic. The idea of Esperanto is a language of peace & unity, since the background of Zamenhof is in a polish place with mixed of jewish, russian, etc people, kind of forgot, etc etc well, you get the idea. Yet I know that idea is still debateable but what made me interested in learning this language is not because of that.

Some people claim that Esperanto is the easiest language that one can learn.  About a year ago when I found out about Esperanto I was widely skeptical and uninterested. There was a phase in my life when I started learning Estonian (I know this also feels trivial, but don't judge me) but it was... hard. And there's not enough resource that I could found on the internet about learning Estonian (even if I have a lot of resources on Estonian music, videos, and blogs). Also, the grammar is kind of fucked up (they can form an extremely long word, don't ask me how) and the only resource I learned was from memrise (a website somehow similar to duolingo) so... it's not easy.

And then I stopped learning. I haven't started on learning another language, nothing really interest me tbh since then.

Just one morning, I had a weird epiphany. I thought it would be cool if I start learning Esperanto. tbh, usually when  I do something like that, it was like an impulse, I just feel like it, and I start my course at duolingo and lernu.net (a website specifically for learning Esperanto) and I just keep on going, devoting a few hours of a day learning Esperanto. At first the reason why I started learning was purely for some sort of research.

The main reason is maybe to see how easy is Esperanto, to actually know it from my personal opinion, not just from some people that I read online. And the second reason is because once, I written in a paper when I was in Eight grade, I wrote some things I want to do before I was 20, and one of them is learning a new language. I know it's not that big deal, but I just want to feel that sense of achievement when I'm finally able to learn a language.

Also, another thing, Esperanto help you to understand another language in a way, like how eat in Esperanto is manĝas, in French is mangi (edit: the correct word would be manger (infinitive form) sorry I made a mistake back then). I'm getting better in guessing what does those words mean as well. Sometimes... I can understand a phrase just by guessing it in language I'm not fluent of.

So here I am on the one month mark!

The opening phase translated to 'Hello! It's one month mark of learning Esperanto. I learned Esperanto out of curiosity. I heard that Esperanto is the easiest language to learn.'

I'm proud of how far I achieve tho, I can understand around 45% of text in Esperanto now, even though I still need some help from dictionary. It feels good to be able to understand a language. I must admit, that Esperanto community is not as big as number of people who speaks French (I love how it sounds, but I gave up on the pronunciation) or Spanish. There's some community online but I just haven't joined them, partly because I feel like my esperanto is still so rustic, and... I have a minor struggle, but hopefully, I'll join them soon!

Feel free if you're feeling like you want to learn a language, but starting from a easy one, like Esperanto. I'll be more than happy if you want to practice your Esperanto with me, sharing resources, etc!
